lenovo-android-6-0-updates-840x471Yesterday a leaked roadmap revealed HTC’s Android 6.0 Marshmallow plans. Most companies probably do have plans to eventually push out the latest Android to their phones, but the burning question is when because unlike Nexus and Google Play Edition handsets, Android updates for other devices can be a waiting game.

That being said if any of you guys own a Lenovo handset, a recent post on Weibo has revealed the potential dates that you can look forward to. As you can see in the photo above, the slide is a bit hard to read but from what we can tell, handsets like the Lenovo K3 Note, Lenovo X1, Lenovo P1, Lenovo A7000, Lenovo Vibe S1, and other variants of the phones have been listed.

For the most part it seems that the update will take quite a while before it reaches owners. The earliest we see is January 2016 for the K3 Note (or at least one of its variants), while other devices have been pegged for March, April, May, and some devices appear to only receive it in July which is admittedly rather long.

These dates are most likely estimates so hopefully Lenovo will be able to push out its updates in a more timely manner, especially when you consider that in July Google I/O would have already taken place which means that the next major Android build would already be announced, but better late than never?
