850-fr-2There has been some talk about Microsoft releasing a mid-ranged Lumia handset in the form of the Lumia 850. However to date we have not heard anything official from the company despite the fact that it has been almost half a year. However thanks to Nowhereelse.fr, new renders of the phone have made their way online.

Based on the previous rumors, what we know about the phone is that it will allegedly be made from metal, a good choice as metal phones tend to be perceived as more luxurious/premium and these renders seem to suggest it. The phone’s design appears to be pretty sleek, clean, and straightforward with a small bump on the back where the camera is supposed to go.

In terms of specs, last we heard the Lumia 850 is said to be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 chipset. However if the phone is launching next year, shouldn’t Microsoft at least upgrade the processor a bit? In any case other rumored specs include 1GB of RAM, 16GB of storage, a 10MP rear-facing camera, and a 2,650mAh battery.

The phone is also rumored to sport a 5-inch HD display. It is possible that maybe Microsoft might change the specs before its launch, or maybe the previously leaked specs were wrong to begin with, but take it with a grain of salt for now and hopefully we’ll have more information soon.
