mclaren-leakIf you are a fan of Microsoft/Nokia and their series of Lumia Windows Phone handsets, chances are you might have heard the rumors that Microsoft was apparently working on a new handset codenamed “McLaren”. However the handset never made it to the market due to rumors that it was cancelled.

Given that we’ve never actually received any confirmation, this is just hearsay as far as we’re concerned. That being said, new photos of the alleged cancelled device have surfaced. Now we have seen photos of the phone in the past so if anything, these newly surfaced photos just seems to confirm what we have seen before.

Most notable is its design, which as we have seen in the past will show that the phone sports a rather large camera on its back. It also shows a comparison to the Lumia 1020 and from what we can see, it is a much larger device compared to its predecessor. The exact specs of the McLaren were not revealed and it’s still a bit of a mystery to date.

However we have heard rumors that one of its key features was its ability to allow users to interact with the device without actually having to touch it. We’re not sure if Microsoft has kept that feature for use in future devices, but it does sound intriguing.
