motox-pure-editionIf you happen to be rocking to the third generation Moto X Pure Edition and are living in the US, then here is some good news to brighten up your day. Basically, your handset has started to go through its Android 6.0 Marshmallow soak test, and this is no rumor at all, for it was announced by Motorola’s senior director of software product management David Schuster, as he took the Google+ route to do so.

Similar to other soak tests in nature, Schuster claims that the company will ensure that all aspects of the test’s progress will be monitored throughout the coming week. Should all go to plan and Murphy’s Law does not kick in, then a full launch will happen. In other words, the official Android 6.0 Marshmallow update for the Moto X Pure Edition might eventually arrive as early as in one week’s time.

Several Moto X Pure Edition owners received the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update in November, which did set off alarm bells ringing that the soak test had already begun, although Motorola swatted away those reports by citing that those are merely a “TestDrive.” At the end of it all, always remember that patience is a virtue, so it should not be long in coming before you enjoy Android 6.0 Marshmallow on the Moto X Pure Edition.
