Unless you’ve been cooking for a while now, chances are sometimes you might not be able to tell at a glance if what you’re cooking is ready for consumption. For example turning the flame up too high might result in an outer appearance that looks like it’s ready to be eaten, but the insides might still be raw (hello chicken breast!).

Sure, you might be able to invest in thermometers but if you’d rather go a bit more hi-tech, you might be interested in a frying pan called Pantelligent. What makes this device so different is the fact that it comes with Bluetooth built into it, and the connectivity with your smartphone and the built-in temperature gauge will let you know via your handset when your food is ready to be eaten.

Apart from telling you when your food has been cooked sufficiently, the pan will also be able to share other helpful hints that might be able to help novice cooks, like when the pan is hot enough to put oil on. The accompanying smartphone app will also come preloaded with a ton of recipes that users can choose from, although it won’t cook it for you.

That being said while the Pantelligent won’t necessarily make you a better cook, it will at least stop you from serving up overcooked steak and undercooked chicken breast. Hopefully. To get your hands on the Pantelligent, pop on over to its website for the details.
