Apple is one of the very few companies on the planet that has a fan following, most of these diehard fans also happen to be actual customers, which would explain why the “S” iterations of the iPhone tend to perform as well if not better than the major upgrades. People are devoted to this company and its co-founder Steve Jobs, who many hail as a genius of our time, and some of those people will be delighted to find out that Prague is now home to an unofficial Apple museum.
It’s unofficial because Apple had nothing to do with it, the company doesn’t own or operate it, and certainly didn’t provide any of the Apple gear that’s on display in the museum.
Nevertheless the museum does boast one of the “biggest” private collections of Apple gear, so expect to see some of the earliest computers that the fruit company produced all those years ago, to models which you can walk into a store and purchase within minutes. It has it all.
Some rare items are on display at the museum as well, such as the Lisa, a Beatles Collector’s Box with iPad and rip-it-yourself CD library as well as the Twentieth Anniversary Mac. Quotes from Steve Jobs are in abundance as well.
So if you love the company, or don’t, and are curious to see what makes this private collection worthy of being displayed to the public, head over to the unofficial Apple museum the next time you’re in Prague.
