xbox-playstation-wall-e3-2013-bIn terms of sales, Sony’s PlayStation 4 has largely dominated the market and based on reports in the past, they have consistently managed to beat out Microsoft’s Xbox One. However from time to time the Xbox One does pick up in terms of sales such as last month where it was reported that the Xbox One actually outsold the PS4 in the US for the month of October.

However it seems that Microsoft was not able to hold onto that streak because according to the latest numbers provided by the NPD Group, it seems that Sony’s PS4 has managed to beat out the Xbox One again for the month of November in the US, thus reclaiming its crown from Microsoft.

According to the numbers, it seems that Sony managed to move as many as 30.2 million PS4 units around the world to date ever since it was launched in November 2013, a huge number indeed. In a statement made to GeekWire, Microsoft’s Corporate VP of Xbox Marketing Mike Nichols said, “Last month was our best November ever in the U.S. for Xbox One, setting new records for console sales, game sales and Xbox Live engagement.”

However it looks like while it was Microsoft’s best month in the US, it was not enough at least compared to the PS4. That being said, will Microsoft manage to beat out the PS4 for the month of December? We guess we’ll have to wait and see.
