rise of the tomb raiderAs it stands, Square Enix’s Rise of the Tomb Raider is an exclusive to Microsoft’s Xbox platforms, at least for now before it makes its way onto PlayStation consoles next year. However what about Windows gamers? Recently a Steam listing suggested that the game could be arriving onto the PC soon, and now we have more confirmation.

According to a recent tweet by the official Windows Store account, it has been revealed that Rise of the Tomb Raider will indeed be arriving for the PC, and that if you’d rather not make the purchase through Steam, the Windows Store will be an alternative. The tweet reads, “Coming soon to the Windows Store – Rise of the Tomb Raider @SquareEnix #Xbox #Windows10”

Unfortunately right now it is unclear as to when exactly will the game be released for Windows. Some have speculated that January is a possibility and we suppose the Steam listing and post by Microsoft would suggest that a launch is imminent. However as for PlayStation gamers, Microsoft as a one year exclusive to the title so you guys can only expect the game to be launched in the fall of 2016.

Given that Windows is technically a Microsoft product, we guess it would still be considered a Microsoft-exclusive. Pricing was not mentioned either but we reckon it should not differ too much from its current asking price.
