We live in an era where we wished robots were far more technologically advanced than they are today, being able to be human assistants such as C-3PO and the ilk, but I suppose beggars can’t be choosers, and even Nadine can be considered to be quite the breakthrough. Here we are with a non-human robot chef that will not only be able to cook you dinner, it can also clean up after you assuming you lack the time to whip a gourmet meal for yourself or lack the technical know-how. The Moley Robotics Kitchen is where the money’s at.

Based in the UK, Moley Robotics has managed to come up with this particular concept kitchen prototype which will comprise of the likes of an oven, stove, touchscreen unit, and robotic arms and hands. The hands themselves will boast of tactile sensors, as well as chop, stir, pour, make use of a blender and utensils, not to mention being able to turn the stove on and off.

MasterChef winner Tim Anderson “transferred” his cooking skills by having them recorded in 3D, and this robot can now replicate Anderson’s movements on its own. An integrated touchscreen or smartphone app will help the kitchen to operate, and you can select from more than 2,000 worldwide recipes as the consumer version arrives a couple of years from now.
