Samsung handsets can very much hold their own in the high-end segment of the market, they’re kitted with the best of the best, features like Optical Image Stabilization and fingerprint sensors are now staple on the company’s high-end flagships. Could Samsung bring those features over to mid-range or even entry-level smartphones as well? A new rumor out of South Korea claims just that.

It has been reported multiple times already this year that Samsung’s high-end flagships are under a lot of pressure in the market from rivals like Apple, so the company is increasing its focus on mid-range and more affordable devices and making them much better in comparison to similarly priced rivals.

Take for example the new Galaxy A series which features a premium build and two of the models even boast the fingerprint sensor which makes them compatible with Samsung Pay, the company’s mobile payment service which came out earlier this year.

Word on the street in South Korea is that Samsung is going to bring even more of the premium features to mid-range handsets. The next on its list is said to be Optical Image Stabilization, a technology that goes a long way in ensuring that the photos and videos you capture with the mobile device remain as blur-free as possible.

As always, Samsung has not commented on rumors related to future products, and it’s unlikely that we’ll see the company saying something about this. We’ll have to wait in order to find out.
