steam_winter_saleLast week it was reported that thanks to an email sent out by PayPal, it seems that the company might have accidentally revealed the date of Steam’s upcoming Winter Sale. The sale was set for the 22nd of December and sure enough it looks like the rumors have panned out has Valve has officially announced that the sales have begun.

The sale will run from the 22nd of December until the 4th of January, 2016 at 10AM PST, so you’ve still got a fair amount of time to decide what games you are interested in. According to Valve, “The Steam Winter Sale starts today! For the next two weeks, take advantage of great discounts on thousands of games and software, and exclusive Winter Sale trading cards. The event also includes the first-ever Steam Sale comic, “Gingerbread Jake In: North Pole Noir,” with a new page of the comic revealed every day.”

There will be different deals offered on a daily basis, so there is a good chance you will come across a title you’ve been meaning to buy that has been heavily discounted. The amount of discount will vary from game to game, but some titles have been discounted by as much as 75%, while others are discounted less at around 30%, but still a pretty good deal all the same.

If you’d like to check out the sales, fire up your Steam account and head on over to the store, or pop on over to Steam’s website to take a look at what they are offering.
