Telltale is no stranger to making story-based games, it’s behind episodic series like The Walking Dead, Game of Thrones, The Wolf Among Us and even Minecraft Story Mode. The studio now has Batman in its sights. It has been confirmed that Telltale is going to make a new episodic series based on The Dark Knight which is going to be released next year.

Not much has been revealed about the title just yet aside from the teaser trailer, only the fact that it’s going to be an episodic series has been confirmed, but then again that’s to be expected from a Telltale game.

This particular iteration of Batman is going to be released for home consoles, PC, Mac and mobile. Telltale CEO Kevin Bruner says that this title is going to provide players to get a first-hand opportunity to “dive deeper into the complex life and mind of Bruce Wayne, the duality of his own identity, and the struggle of responsibility in saving a city overcome with corruption and villainy.”

More information about the title will obviously be released in 2016 before it’s due to be released. Rumor has it that Telltale is also going to make an episodic series based on Marvel superheroes but that particular title isn’t expected to be released prior to 2017.
