The thing about LEGO is that at the end of the day, it really boils down to your imagination as to what you can build with it. We have seen all kinds of crazy creations, but if you are a fan of Batman, then this 18,000 piece Arkham Asylum recreation is pretty damn awesome, especially when you consider that every inmate has their own cell, and it comes with working LED lights.

Built by Australian LEGO enthusiast, Dayton, this is a completely customized LEGO piece. Apparently it took Dayton about a year of planning, along with the ordering of many parts in order to get the entire set built in time for Brickvention 2016.

According to his description of his work, “After 1-2 years of planning and 3-4 months of building I have finally created Arkham Asylum in Lego. I feel this was the milestone for me as a builder as this is something I have wanted to build for years now and I am so happy with how it turned out, almost everything I wanted to put into the moc was built and included, some of my favourite parts of the Moc are, Killer Croc’s Cell (See Youtube Video) the Maximum Security Wing (Underground Cells).”

We have to admit that it is pretty impressive and we love the attention to the details and the choice of coloring. If you’d like to check it out, watch the video above which gives you a tour of the entire piece.
