As you might have heard, Ubisoft is rumored to be skipping launching a new Assassin’s Creed title this year. However this doesn’t mean that you won’t have Assassin’s Creed content to play with. In fact if you recall, there is also the spin-off Assassin’s Creed Chronicles: India and Russia that you can look forward to.

Recently the gameplay overview video for Assassin’s Creed Chronicles: India has been released and boy does it look fun! For those who are unfamiliar with the Chronicles spin-off, this was actually announced last year. Basically this is a 2.5D take on Assassin’s Creed and will take players to China, India, and Russia.

The Chronicles series was originally supposed to be part of Unity’s season pass, but it seems that Ubisoft decided that maybe it would do better if it stood by itself. The China Chronicles has already been released, and for those who forgot, the India Chronicles is expected to be released next week on the 12th of January, followed by the Russian Chronicles which will be released in February, which also effectively ends the Chronicles series.

Assassin’s Creed Chronicles: India will be priced at $10, similar to China and presumably Russia, although all 3 can be bought at once for $30, but if you’d rather piecemeal it, it all adds up to the same anyway.
