Ever wanted a bonsai tree of your own? While they’re certainly cute, they’re not that easy to take care of, which we guess is the point since taking care of bonsai trees is kind of like a zen hobby, meaning there’s more to it than just giving it water like you would your normal plants at home or in the garden.

However if you want a challenge, then maybe you might be interested in a Kickstarter project called the Air Bonsai. If you were to watch the video above, you’ll realize that the Air Bonsai is a Kickstarter project for a bonsai tree that can levitate. No, we’re not talking about it being so zen to the point of self-levitation.

What we’re talking about here is a plant with a base that contains a magnet to helps it to stay afloat. The end result is probably one of the coolest gardening ideas we’ve seen, plus it’ll look great on your desk and it will definitely make for a great conversation piece. To top things off, the plant and base are from Japan.

According to its Kickstarter description, every detail is being paid attention to, even its base which is made of traditional Japanese “Imari”. If this project has managed to pique your interest, then head on over to its Kickstarter page to lend your support, where a pledge of $200 will net you the basic starter kit.
