ampwareThe modern day road warrior more often than not runs into one particular issue from time to time – the lack of juice in the smartphone. iPhone charging cases, such as the ones from Nyko, are not new, but here is an idea that bridges the old and the modern – the AMPWare Case. In other words, the AMPWare Case is able to revive a dead battery in the same way that our ancestors used to do, by the use of a hand crank.

It is right now available for pre-order, where you can get it for the iPhone 6 and 6s. The AMPWare case basically ensures that your beautiful iPhone 6 or 6s does not look out of place and have its overall design spoiled, since the charging crank will remain discreetly tucked in as well as flush to the back of the protective bumper case. According to AMPWare’s developers, all that it takes would be five minutes of cranking, where that would result in approximately an hour’s worth of battery life under normal use, or for five hours on standby.

This does sound like a pretty decent proposition especially if you happen to be one who tends to spend your time outdoors, where the search for a nearby power outlet might prove to be futile most of the time.
