It does seem as though the Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow update that is currently in development has its fair share of tricks up its sleeve, where it is being worked on to target smartphones in the vein of the Samsung Galaxy S6, Samsung Galaxy S6 edge, and the Samsung Galaxy S6 edge+. This particular update has in fact rolled out to beta testers already, and hence, some information can be gleaned concerning the firmware that is set to arrive. It looks as though Samsung will limit the speed of the scrolling within apps themselves, not to mention menus as well in order to deliver a smoother performance level.

This particular idea has been implemented by Apple for quite a while now, so it is nothing new, but still, to see it in action in Samsung’s flagship models is always an encouraging sign since lag or visual artefacts can be minimized or eliminated altogether, which would further optimize the entire smartphone usage experience.

As one can see in the video above, the scrolling does seem to be smoother in nature (or is it psychological?) although it does require more time now to make it to the bottom of a page or app. It is with crossed fingers that TouchWiz fans will not be disappointed by the outcome, as there really isn’t any reason to be.
