I am quite sure that any gamer worth his or her salt would have had fond memories of the Mega Man series – although this action platformer could prove to be rather challenging for the uninitiated. Well, Mega Man, or the Blue Bomber as he is fondly referred to, will be celebrated by Capcom when the Mega Man Legacy Collection rolls out in the Land of the Rising Sun by offering not one, but a couple of Nintendo 3DS themes for the handheld console.

Out of the two themes, the first of the two would be one that Mega Man fans should be able to recognize in a heartbeat. The 3DS’s traditional folder layout will no longer be there, as it has been replaced with a classic “Level Select” screen. Rather than Robot Masters, one will be able to stash their various folders or game shortcuts, while the top screen showcases the blue banner which introduces levels and bosses of the whole series.

As for the other theme, it depicts Mega Man after he has gone through hell in a battle with Dr. Wiley, who happens to be the main protagonist of the series. Apart from that, this particular theme will change all of the organizational folders so that they reflect a more metallic, robotic shade of gray rather than the default blue color.
