denmark-windIf you would like to be the best, then it would be in your best interest to learn from the best, don’t you think so? Denmark has just broken the world record when it comes to wind energy, where for the second successive year, they have picked up the title of being the most wind-powered country in the world history. This is certainly an achievement that is worth aiming for and retaining, don’t you think so?

It is said that this Scandinavian country actually produces up to a massive 42 percent of its electricity from wind power alone in 2015, which is the highest proportion ever achieved by any country – and these statistics hail from Denmark’s utility company, Energinet.

Not only that, it was the very first time last year that Denmark managed to turn off its large central power stations for the whole day, and yet was able to provide whatever electricity requirements that the country required from wind turbines and other renewable energy sources. In 2014, Denmark managed to generate 39 percent of its electricity from the turbines. What caused the increase in performance? 2015 was deemed to be an exceptionally windy year, but it is also consistent when one compares it to the year-over-year increases since 2005.
