ff14-unbanIf you are still playing Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn on your Sony PlayStation 4, here’s something that you might want to take note of. It seems that in the upcoming patch for the game, patch 3.2 to be exact, it looks like you will need a bit more storage than you previously thought you might.

Right now the game requires 40GB of storage on the PS4, which by itself is pretty sizeable but given the breadth of the game, its graphics, and the rest of its assets, it shouldn’t really be a surprise. However after the patch is released, it seems that the amount of storage required has increased from 40GB to 50GB.

This is confirmed in an official forum post in which it also listed the storage space need for other platforms, like the PC, Mac, and PS3, all of which more or less go up by 10GB, but it seems that the PS4’s the biggest storage hog for some reason. This means that if you’re running low on space on your PS4, you will want to start shifting things around, or delete some games that you on longer need.

Alternatively, there are ways to expand your PS4’s storage, such as through Nyko’s Data Banks, or if you’re adventurous you could even try upgrading it yourself, at your own risk, of course. In the meantime, the update is expected to be released some time in February 2016.
