Samsung-Galaxy-S6-Edge-Plus-12Last year when the Samsung Galaxy S6 and the S6 Edge handsets were announced, they both feature the same screen size, with the Edge version featuring a curved edge on both sides. However this year could prove to be different as the Edge could be the larger version, while the Galaxy S7 could sport a smaller screen.

Turns out the rumors could be right, because thanks to a recent sighting on Zauba, it seems that both the Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge’s screen sizes have been “confirmed”. For those unfamiliar, Zauba is an Indian website that tracks devices imported and exported from the country. In the past we have seen phones listed on its database where it has been sent to India for testing.

According to the listing, it has seemingly confirmed that the Galaxy S7 Edge this year will sport a larger display of 5.5-inches, while the Galaxy S7 is said to feature a smaller 5.1-inches. Technically the Galaxy S7 will keep the same screen size as last year’s model, while the S7 Edge will be getting a larger screen.

No word on why Samsung has decided to change the formula, since the S7 Edge+ is supposed to be the larger model, but maybe this means that we can look forward to potentially 3 different choices in display. In any case take it with a grain of salt since it is possible that the devices are prototypes, but with a rumored launch in February, we’d like to think Samsung might have locked everything down by now.
