amazon-signRecently Amazon announced that their Prime subscribers will be getting a permanent 20% discount in the future if they were to pre-order games or buy “new releases”, which the company has defined as being within the first two weeks of the game’s availability. However it looks like that’s not all Amazon has up their sleeves.

It turns out that the company really wants you to subscribe to its Prime services as they have announced that they will also be discounting its Prime membership. However do take note that this discount is only available if you were to sign up for it this coming weekend, so if you miss that window of opportunity, too bad!

The discount is at 20% which means that you’ll be only paying $73 for the first year of your subscription, but after that the fees will revert back to $99 a year. Note that this is also only applicable to new Prime customers, so if you’ve already signed up for a Prime subscription, this offer will not be applicable to you.

The offer will kick off this Friday, the 15th of January at 9PM PT and will be valid until 11:50PM local time on Sunday, the 17th of January, so if you’d like to get in on this deal, mark it on your calendars and just head on over to Amazon’s website to sign up for their Prime subscription.
