Most, if not all, modern cars these days come with a backup camera, or at least provides an option for customers to add it to their car. Now these cameras don’t exactly offer the best quality, but are decent enough to help you when you were reversing into a parking spot, but could it be used for more?

It turns out that comedy group I Want My Mommy has decided to make use of the backup camera on the Toyota Prius to record a comedy skit which they are calling, Check Your Surroundings For Safety. The video in question is supposed to be the “Behind-the-scenes” look at the film, although the reality is that there is no actual film.

The idea is basically to make fun of those behind-the-scenes extra footage that one might be able to expect when purchasing a DVD. It is pretty funny as the video shows the film’s producer talking in a very serious tone about how this has never been done before, even by movie legends like Alfred Hitchcock, Stanley Kubrick, or Orson Welles.

It is a pretty hilarious sketch and if you have some time to spare, you can check it out in the video above. We wonder if this will inspire more movies to be filmed from this particular angle in the future, even though it doesn’t seem particularly safe.
