SanDisk today announced the launch of its new high-speed, water-resistant all-terrain portable Solid State Drive at the International Consumer Electronics Show 2016 in Las Vegas. It has been designed with videographers and photographers in mind who require a fast and reliable solution for their storage needs, the SanDisk Extreme 510 portable SSD promises to deliver that on both the location and in the studio.

The company’s Extreme 510 portable SSD builds upon the acclaimed design of the SanDisk Extreme 500 portable SSD, offering great portability and enhanced protection for users who want to take their storage solution along with them. It features a rubber bumper and IP55-rating for dust and water resistance.

SanDisk promises transfer speeds of up to 430MB/s in this pocket-sized package making it easier to access large video files or photo libraries with ease. This 480GB SSD also comes with SanDisk SecureAccess software with 128-bit encryption for securing files.

SanDisk is releasing the Extreme 510 portable SSD immediately, it’s going to be available worldwide with a two-year warranty for $249.99.
