Technology is truly a wonderful thing – in fact, it has helped us in countless ways, including making traveling more efficient in a city with ridesharing services like Lyft and Uber. Having said that, ever wondered about whether you were the only child in your family? Apparently, technology has brought together a couple of women who were abandoned by their parents, and this is after going through 50 years of life.
Both Liz Kellner and Tammy Makram did not realize that they have a sibling, as their parents abandoned them four years apart. Talk about repeating the same mistake! Both Makram and Kellner were adopted as babies by obviously different families, which led them to grow up in very different environments. Still, they had the clarion call to look up on their own ancestry, where Kellner underwent a DNA test while Makram decided to check out Ancestry.com.
After going through their results, the two long lost sisters managed to find out about each other, and Kellner shared over on Facebook, “In the past year, I have not only connected with (Janssen), but my birth parents, five half siblings, two full sisters and many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.” How heart warming is this situation!
