tesla_model_x_1It seems that due to the rise in pollution, which in turn has blanketed many a city in fog, there are several cities around the world that have experimented with the idea of banning cars from the road, anywhere between a few days to a week, which in turn has seen pollution levels dip massively.

Of course, the long-term solution would be going full electric, and it looks like Tesla’s products are starting to catch on.  According to Tesla’s Q4 2015 report, it seems that for the first time ever, the company has managed to break past the 50,000 mark in terms of the number of vehicles delivered in the entire year, 50,580 to be exact.

To be more specific, Tesla managed to sell 17,400 vehicles in Q4, 17,192 of which were Model S sedans and the remain 208 were Model X SUVs. This is a marked increase over 2014 in which Tesla managed to sell around 35,000 vehicles, but at the same time, this is slightly less than what Telsa’s CEO Elon Musk had initially predicted where he suggested 55,000 vehicles.

Musk had later revised his estimates and according to the guidance provided by Tesla, they expected anywhere between 50,000-55,000 units so while Tesla might have been within their estimates, it looks like they’re on the lower side of it, but we reckon it’s still pretty good progress as far as electric car adoption is concerned.
