AT&T Tower

It’s common for carriers in this country to try and steal subscribers from rival carriers. They launch offers for precisely that purpose and since switching costs can often become a hurdle, carriers usually offer to pay a big chunk of those fees so that people can easily switch over. AT&T has kicked off a similar offer today and it’s promising up to $650 in switching fees to get you to jump onboard.

AT&T will provide customers with up to $650 in credits to help them switch over to its network. Customers have to purchase a new smartphone on AT&T Next, activate eligible service, port their number and trade-in their current eligible smartphone.

Customers will also have to submit the final statement from their previous carrier and then wait to receive an AT&T promotion Visa prepaid gift card in the amount of the early termination fee or device balance owed on final bill minus the trade-in value. Total credits offered are up to $650 and will vary by customer.

AT&T will allow people to pair this promotion with its recent Buy One Get One offer in which they can pick up two handsets from the same manufacturer for the price of one. This latest promotion is a limited time affair only and it ends March 31st, 2016.
