The Final Fantasy VII Remake was announced last year and based on the announcement, it looks like the game might be an exclusive to the Sony PlayStation 4 platform. We suppose a PC release might be possible, but could there be a Nintendo release in the works? According to a recent video by YouTuber SuperMetalDave64 (see above), it seems that could be a possibility.

Note that he has in the past been pretty good when it comes to game-related rumors, so perhaps there might be some truth to his claims. According to him, it has been suggested that the Final Fantasy VII Remake along with Final Fantasy XV could be making its way onto the Nintendo NX, which for those unfamiliar is Nintendo’s next-gen console that is expected to be announced later this year.

He goes on to claim that that both games are expected to be definitive editions as apparently the Nintendo NX will surpass the Sony PS4 in terms of processing power. This will no doubt be interesting to see as so far, Sony and Microsoft’s consoles have typically been viewed more as “power” consoles, versus the Wii/Wii U. Not to mention there have been rumors to indicate that the Nintendo NX won’t be able to match the PS4 in power.

In any case take it with a grain of salt for now, but as Nintendo Life points out, this is actually not the first time such a rumor has popped up, and as the saying goes, when there’s smoke, there’s fire. Either way we guess we’ll just have to wait and see, but Nintendo fans, what do you guys think?
