Last year Samsung launched smartphones that were based around The Avengers. However it looks like for 2016, the company might be switching allegiances to the DC Universe by launching smartphones that are themed around the upcoming Batman V Superman movie, or so the rumors claim.
Like we said, since Samsung did the superhero thing in 2015, it wouldn’t be a stretch to think that they might repeat that later this year. We’re not sure if this is for the Galaxy S7 or the Galaxy S7 Edge, or maybe even both, so we guess we’ll have to keep an eye out for it. However apart from the paint job and possibly a bundled theme with wallpapers, icons, and ringtones, the hardware should remain the same.
The report goes on to claim that the Batman V Superman themed phones are expected to debut on the 24th of March, a day before the movie launches. Samsung will be officially taking the wraps off their flagship phones on the 21st of February, and the rumors are claiming that they might go on sale later in March.
It is unclear if these devices will be announced at MWC along their normal versions, but either way we will be at MWC next week so do check back with us if you’d like to learn more about what Samsung will be launching.
