s7 curved backFrom what we can tell of the Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge, both phones appear to resemble its predecessor. There are some very slight changes, but nothing overtly different, but then again its usually the subtle differences that makes biggest impact, and a new post by @OnLeaks has suggested exactly that.

For the longest time ever we have assumed that the Galaxy S7 will have a flat back, which is usually the case with most phones. However a report from @OnLeaks has suggested that the back of the Galaxy S7 will be curved ever so slightly, as you can see in the diagram above which compares alleged diagrams of the Galaxy S7 against that of 2015’s Galaxy Note 5.

So how does this affect the end user? Chances are you may or may not feel the subtle differences, but from a design perspective it does make for a rather sleek look, kind of like how the 2.5D glass covering the iPhone 6s’ display might not be obvious when looking at it, but when holding it one can really tell.

Also based on the diagram, it seems that the camera bump of the Galaxy S7 is less pronounced than its predecessors, which is a good thing. In the meantime Samsung has officially set a date for an announcement, which is the 21st of February, in which chances are we will learn more about the Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge by then.
