There hasn’t been a new Ghostbusters movie for decades. The franchise has a special place in pop culture and reviving it with an all-female cast made all the sense in the world. That’s precisely what the studio has done. As we await the launch of the full trailer, a teaser trailer has now been released which just pumps up the hype machine even more for this movie.

It was back in 1989 when a psychic in Ghostbusters II made a prediction that the world would end on February 14th, 2016. Bill Murray’s character Dr. Peter Venkman was told that an alien staying at a Holiday Inn in New Jersey told the psychic about the day the world ends.

The world surely didn’t end on February 14th, 2016 but it did get a teaser trailer for the new Ghostbusters movie. It’s about 28 seconds long and shows trouble in the streets. We get to see a big police chase, military forces and SWAT teams taking positions as a dangerous but mysterious threat looms.

That’s when you’d expect the new Ghostbusters, Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig, Leslie Jones, Kate McKinnon, to make an appearance but we’ve yet to see them in full character. Wait for the full Ghostbusters trailer which will come out on March 3rd.
