htc-one-a9_ubergizmo_08In the smartphone camera department, we’ve seen HTC try various ways to be innovative, like with their UltraPixel setup which unfortunately while it sounded good on paper, it wasn’t exactly a breakthrough feature. In fact the HTC One M9 had its fair share of criticisms about its camera quality, so much so that HTC had to push out an update to improve on it.

However it looks like HTC wants to turn things around for the HTC One M10. In an interview at MWC 2016, HTC’s CFO Chialin Chang said that the company’s next phone will sport a much improved camera. According to Chang, “We can confidently say that HTC will have a very, very compelling camera experience. We’re making this comment after we’ve seen what’s going on in the market.”

Like we said, HTC has done several things in the past to differentiate themselves, but so far they haven’t exactly been successful. However the HTC One M10 is said to be a marked departure from the company’s previous One M series of phones, at least as far as design is concerned. The company has also recently been teasing its upcoming handset which is expected to be announced next month.

The company was present at MWC 2016 this week but the only phones they unveiled were a new lineup of Desire branded handsets, but hopefully we’ll find out more about the company’s next-gen smartphone in the coming weeks.
