Capcom has gradually been introducing new characters that will feature in Street Fighter 5 by releasing trailers for the upcoming title. There will be 16 playable characters in the game and four of them are completely new. One of those new characters is called Necalli that has been profiled in a new trailer that Capcom has released for Street Fighter 5.
The Character Introduction trailer goes into detail about Necalli and his powers. The dreadlocks you see are more than just a fashion statement. They’re the source of Necalli’s strength so when he sets his hair free he’s able to inflict more damage to his opponents and is able to be more agile.
Capcom actually recommends that new players start off with Necalli since he has the ability to block fireballs and has a great overhead attack, so that’s something that might appeal to new players as they discover the Street Fighter franchise.
The other new characters that are featuring for the first time in the Street Fighter universe have already been introduced via similar trailers in the past. Capcom is going to release Street Fighter 5 for PlayStation 4 and Windows PC on February 16th, 2016.
A cinematic story mode has also been confirmed, it’s actually the first such mode for any game in this franchise, and it’s set to arrive later this year in June.
