lg_g5_teaserThe LG G5 will be launched soon but in case you can’t wait for the official announcement, it seems that it has been recently spotted on Geekbench, in which some of the phone’s specs has been revealed, which in turn has also confirmed what we had previously heard about it. Of course there is always a chance that the benchmarks are fake, so take it with a grain of salt.

According to the benchmark results, it has been confirmed that the phone will pack a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 chipset and 4GB of RAM. Like we said, the benchmarks could be faked, but at the same time Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 820 chipset is expected to find its way into many high-end flagship phones this year, and 4GB of RAM also seems like the natural progression, so it isn’t entirely a stretch of the imagination to think that it might be true.

The benchmarks also confirms that the phone will come with Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow preinstalled, which once again wouldn’t exactly be surprising news. Unfortunately that’s all the benchmarks has given us, but recently LG has been teasing some details about the phone, like its always on display, along with rumors that LG could be turning to the use of OLED screens for the upcoming handset.

In any case the LG G5 will be officially announced at MWC 2016 on the 21st of February, which is next Sunday, so remember to check back with us then for all the official details.
