Honjo-650-XLLately we have been hearing a lot about the Lumia 650, a device that has yet to be officially announced. However could it be possible that Microsoft also has a larger version of the Lumia 650 in the works? According to a recently leaked photo out of China, it has suggested that Microsoft could have a Lumia 650 XL in the works, codenamed Honjo.

As you can see in the photo above, it compares the phone (on the right) with the Nokia Lumia 1520 which sports a 6-inch display. As you can see, the Lumia 650 XL is obviously smaller as the rumors are claiming that the phone will sport a 5.4-inch display instead, which is admittedly a rather odd choice as 5.5-inches seems to be more commonplace these days.

Other than the larger display, the phone’s specs are seemingly similar to the Lumia 650 (such as its 720p HD display). For those wondering why the Honjo name sounds familiar, it is because its name was mentioned in a leaked back in June last year. It was later rumored that the Lumia 850 would be the Honjo, but this rumor seems to suggest that it will instead be known as the Lumia 650 XL.

It’s actually an interesting rumor because previous reports claimed that the Lumia 650 would be the last Lumia of 2016 (or ever), so we’re not sure how the Lumia 650 XL fits into that picture. In any case take it with a grain of salt for now, but hopefully we’ll hear more from Microsoft in the coming weeks.
