hub_keyboardLast month we reported that Microsoft was planning on bringing its famed Flow keyboard onto iOS. There was no word on whether it will be coming onto Android, but fret not Android users because Microsoft has recently announced a new keyboard for the platform in the form of the Hub keyboard app.

Based on its looks, it seems like a pretty simple and straightforward keyboard. However according to Microsoft, it is much more. “Isn’t it painful to switch between apps just to complete your routine on-the-go tasks? Hub Keyboard, a Microsoft Garage project, lets you stay in context by bringing information from different services to your fingertips and help complete your tasks faster. Sign in with your Office 365 work or school account to unlock access to more information.”

Basically this is a keyboard for those who might be heavy users of the Office 365 suite of productivity apps. Users can also share information like contacts from your Office 365 account, and it will also help you translate your writing to another language on the go, meaning you won’t have to keep switching between your work and a translation tool.

The app was created by Microsoft Garage which is the experimental arm of the Redmond company. Hub is an interesting concept and if you think it might be of use to you, head on over Google Play for the download.
