Samsung-Galaxy-S7-vs-S7-edge-06_900

It was rumored about a week ago that Samsung is going to provide a pre-order incentive for customers placing an order for the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge. The company was rumored to give away the Gear VR headset to all customers that pre-ordered the new handsets. At its event in Barcelona today Samsung has confirmed that this pre-order incentive will indeed to provided to customers.

Carriers in the United States have already confirmed the pricing and release date for the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge. Pre-orders open February 23rd no matter which carrier you choose and shipments begin March 11th. The dates are the same for all major carriers in the country.

Samsung is providing a very good incentive in the form of the Gear VR to customers who pre-order its new devices. The virtual reality headset is a $99 value itself and it’s really going to entice customers who put money down for a new handset. Samsung has created sufficient hype for its VR technology and this incentive is going to help it push the technology even more into the mainstream.

Bear in mind though that this is a limited time offer, once general availability begins customers will no longer be able to take advantage of this, those who get their pre-orders in before time runs out are guaranteed the Gear VR headset with their Galaxy S7 or Galaxy S7 edge.
