apple logoShe loves me, she loves me not, and so the “dance” continues as you peel off petal by petal from the proverbial flower. Having said that, with the smartphone industry moving in a direction where more and more handsets are starting to receive larger and larger displays, will there be a future for the 4” smartphone? Apple might think so, although analysts have definitely said that there will be no 4” iPhone model unveiled in March this year. Still, a report has surfaced that points to the fact that 33% of all iPhones models out there are of the 4” or smaller variety, now how about that?

Perhaps this is because the iPhone 5s, iPhone 5c and iPhone 4s, as well as the older 3.5” models, then this particular group of people would make up 33% of the iPhone user population. Have they not moved on because they liked the smaller screen size that is far more convenient for one-handed use, compared to the larger 5” and above models? Or perhaps it is because they do not have a mind to upgrade, or would like to but do not have the means of doing so.

Can these numbers be interpreted as there being demand for a smaller iPhone? It is difficult to say, but then this is where the smaller iPhone 5se rumors (and of it in production) begin to make a fair bit of buzz.
