Samsung-Galaxy-S6-Edge-Plus-15Not too many days after word went around that the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update was rolling out for the likes of the Samsung Galaxy S6 as well as the Samsung Galaxy S6 edge, here we are with word that owners of the Samsung Galaxy S6 edge+ too, would be on the receiving end of the Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow update – similar to how Galaxy Note5 owners, too, have received the update to boot. This particular Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow update for the Galaxy S6 edge+ has made its way to the company’s home country for the moment.

Basically, those who are rocking to the Samsung Galaxy S6 edge+ over on the SK Telecom network are the beneficiaries of this particular update. One will be able to obtain it via Samsung’s Smart Switch desktop app, but do bear in mind that it would be 1GB in size, and when installation is completed, the firmware version would end up as G928SKSU2BPAG.

This particular update will have the standard issue Marshmallow benefits such as Doze, Google Now on Tap, in addition to redesigned app permissions, not to mention the latest Samsung Web browser which will boast of ad-blocking support to boot. We do hope that this Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow update will be able to make its way to other Galaxy S6 edge+ handsets outside of South Korea in due time.
