gear s2 classic platinumIt was just the previous week before the hectic Mobile World Congress 2016 kicked off, where Samsung made an announcement concerning their 3G-capable version of its Gear S2 classic smartwatch, citing that folks living in the US will be able to take advantage of it this coming March 11th. Well, as the South Korean conglomerate has made mention that mentioned AT&T, T-Mobile, and Verizon will be some of the carriers who will be putting up the Gear S2 Classic 3G on sale later this year with the eSIM, Christmas has come early for Verizon Wireless, as they have shared details concerning the smartwatch’s launch with it going up for pre-order tomorrow.

The asking price would be $399 from the get go, or $349 if you were to hook it up with a new two-year contract. For those who are currently rocking to Verizon with a service agreement, you can then have this 3G capable Gear S2 classic remain connected on your wrist for a mere $5 each month – do bear in mind that this is the service’s price, and not for the device.

As for the remainder of the hardware specifications, here is a quick refresher – it sports a 1.2” 360×360 circular AMOLED touchscreen, a 1GHz dual-core processor, 512MB of RAM, 4GB of internal memory, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and NFC connectivity, wireless charging support, and a 300 mAh battery, with Tizen powering this IP68 certified device.
