It is no secret that Sony will be at MWC 2016. The company sent out invites to the event last month, and recently it looks like the company has started to tease their event via a video posted onto YouTube (see above). Unfortunately the video doesn’t really tell us much except to inform about their upcoming event.

Unfortunately at this point in time, it’s really anyone’s guess as to what Sony could announce at the event. While it’s easy to guess that the company’s next flagship smartphone will be the Sony Xperia Z6, there hasn’t really been any indication to suggest that Sony could be announcing the phone in the near future, let alone at MWC.

The only interesting part of the video that we can point out would be the start where it features a black leather background, which if we had to speculate, might suggest that it could be part of the material used for their next-gen phone. However since MWC has recently started playing host to wearable announcements, maybe Sony might have new smartwatches or fitness bands to announce.

In any case we have no choice but to wait until the 22nd of February which is when their press conference will take place, so be sure to check back with us next Monday for the details. In the meantime, what do you guys think Sony could be hiding in its teaser? Or are we reading too much into this?
