Countless people who own Android devices are looking forward to receiving the Marshmallow update on their devices. It has been a very slow process so far, the only devices that received the update soon after Google announced it was the company’s own Nexus kit, but gradually other OEMs are rolling out the update as well. Take T-Mobile for example, it has released the Marshmallow update for HTC One M9 today.

It had been previously confirmed by HTC’s VP of product management that technical approval for the update had been received and that it would be released soon. T-Mobile has started rolling it out now so HTC One M9 owners on Magenta should keep an eye out for the update notification today.

T-Mobile’s support page for the handset has now been updated to reflect that software version 5.29.1700.18 has been released for the HTC One M9 on its network. It doesn’t describe all of the new features and improvements in much detail, only mentioning that it brings Android Marshmallow.

Other carriers are getting in on the action as well. Just yesterday Verizon released Marshmallow for not one, not two but three supported devices one of which happened to be the HTC One M9 as well. Hopefully, Sprint and AT&T will follow suit soon as well.
