Want to raise a generation of environmentally-aware children? You’ve probably got to start them young, and what better way to do so than with a kid-sized Tesla Model S electric car, right? Ok so maybe we’re kidding (a little), but not about the Model S. It seems that Tesla and Radio Flyer have teamed up to create a kid-sized Model S replica.

As you can see in the video above, the toy car has been designed to look exactly like the Model S, except that your kid will be sitting with half their upper body above the car. For those unfamiliar with Radio Flyer, they are probably best known for that little red wagon that kids are known to play with, at least back in the day before tablets and smartphones became the de facto toy.

The Model S will be powered by a 140 Wh lithium-ion battery pack, so to a certain extent it does share some similarities to its grown-up counterpart. Parents can drop an extra $50 if they’d like the model with the 190 Wh battery pack that should allow the car to last longer. The max speed has been set at 6mph, but parents can limit it further to 3mph.

It will come in a variety of colors including Midnight Silver Metallic, Deep Blue Metallica, and Red Multi-Coat. The wheels can also be “upgraded” for an extra $15, which should prepare kids for the future when they are buying their own cars and are looking at upgrades that cost significantly more. The whole car is priced starting at $499 and is available for pre-order and is expected to begin shipping in May.
