whatsapp-logo-newWhen it comes to beta builds of WhatsApp, Android users had to previously go to WhatsApp’s website and download the APK and manually install the app themselves. It isn’t a particularly complicated process, but we guess there might be some users who might be feeling a bit lost if they did not know where the beta app was hosted at.

The good news is that WhatsApp has made life easier for all you beta testers out there. The company has made its beta available via the Google Play Store. All you’d have to do is head on over here and sign up for the beta by leaving your email address. You’ll then launch the Google Play Store on your phone and update the app.

Note that this is for Android users only, so iOS users looking to beta test upcoming WhatsApp features will have to sit this one out. Also take note that because you are beta testing future builds of WhatsApp ahead of their release to the rest of WhatsApp’s users that you might encounter bugs and issues with the app that might not necessarily be present in the final version.

We suppose this is the price that you’ll have to pay in order to access upcoming features and services before everyone else.
