acer-chromebase-24Acer of Taiwan has just announced its maiden touchscreen Chromebase for meetings solution, which happens to be an all-in-one, dedicated video conference system that has been specially designed in order to function within small spaces, where among the include a space as cramped as a phone booth, or perhaps huddle spaces and desktops.

The Acer Chromebase for meetings will boast of the largest screen of any Chrome OS device and will be accompanied by a quartet of microphones and a pair of speakers for optimum audio performance. In fact, it will now be able to support 25-person Hangouts across a wide range of devices such as laptops, tablets, or smartphones, for just about anyone with a meeting link

The 24” Full HD (1920 x 1080) display with IPS technology, is said to be able to reproduce consistent and accurate colors at up to 178-degree wide viewing angles, while an array of four microphones and two speakers will allow everyone there to be able to be heard clearly, with the presence of an adjustable HD webcam and a chassis letting you tilt it in a jiffy from – 5° to 30° for that perfectly framed video call.

Expect the Acer Chromebase for meetings to retail for $799 in the US, where that will also include the first year’s $250 management and support fee, and expect it to arrive in Canada, UK, Ireland, and Australia in due time. [Press Release]
