Atari did make an announcement earlier this year that they will be working on a 100-game bundle for the PC, calling it Atari Vault. Well, all of that patience and waiting has paid off, and it looks like Atari Vault has just gone live.

Basically, folks who would want to ensure that they live out their childhood gaming memories can now do so in a convenient manner with Atari Vault. This means one does not need to go through the tedium of having to work around with emulators or retro consoles. In addition, the Atari Vault collection will also include online features as well as full controller support.

As the bundle is now available on Steam, there will be 100 games from the 1970s and the 1980s, where among them will include the likes of Pong, Centipede, Asteroids, Missile Command, Gravitar, Breakout, Warlords, Tempest, Yars‘ Revenge, Haunted House, Joust, Pitfall, Q*Bert, Berzerk, Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back, Frogger, Pole Position, and 83 other stunning titles. Do take note that all of the included titles hail from Atari itself, where you can also select the game through virtual 3D arcade cabinets or 3D Atari VCS/2600 original box art.

Atari Vault can be downloaded for $17 a pop, which equals to $0.17 each. It does not matter whether the classic keyboard and mouse combo, Steam controller or other compatible controllers are used – Atari Vault is sure to teach your younger ones a thing or two about what real classic gaming is all about.
