Samsung-Galaxy-S7-vs-S7-edge-02_900Earlier it was reported that T-Mobile was planning on one-upping the competition by launching a buy-1-free-1 promotion for the Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge. The deal has not yet been officially announced, but it seems that AT&T might have beaten them to the punch as the carrier has launched a similar deal of their own.

According to AT&T, it looks like this deal will be more or less the same as the one that will be offered by T-Mobile. Customers who are interested in purchasing the Galaxy S7 or S7 Edge can expect to receive the second handset for free, assuming that they meet the criteria to take part in this promotion, of course.

For starters, the second phone needs to be on a brand new line and purchased on AT&T’s Next 24 plan. However the second phone won’t exactly be free right off the bat. According to AT&T, customers will be credited $695 which will be spread out over the next 30 months after three billing cycles or less, meaning that you’ll be paying for the phone upfront, but AT&T will eventually credit you the money.

As for those who have already ordered their phone before the promotion was announced, AT&T states that if you meet the criteria listed on their website, your account will be credited for the second phone, so we guess you won’t really be missing out on this deal.
