AT&T Tower

AT&T has announced today that it’s proving its customers with a second chance to insure their smartphones. It’s going to offer an open enrollment period for entry into its insurance program. Normally customers are required to enroll in the program within 30 days of activation or upgrade. It has been more than 30 days for you perhaps you might consider taking AT&T up on its offer.

Insurance appeals to customers who want to protect themselves against the hassle and cost of replacing a lost, damaged or stolen smartphone or tablet. The costs can be high which can be offset by paying a small premium for insurance and having peace of mind that you have coverage.

AT&T is going to offer an open enrollment period from March 1st to April 30th allowing individuals and businesses to get their AT&T-branded smartphones and tablets on the carrier’s insurance plan.

Customers can choose from three device protection plans that start at $7.99 per month. The multi-device plan allows customers to add up to three eligible smartphones or tablets so it’s perfect for families, this plan is not open to businesses.

The mobile protection pack is for individuals while the AT&T mobile insurance provides coverage against theft, damage, loss or out-of-warranty malfunctions of the device. Existing customers can simply go to the myAT&T app and select the device protection plan they’re interested in.
