It appears that AT&T might soon launch a new mid-range smartphone from Samsung that the company only released in China initially. The Galaxy J3 (2016) hasn’t really made headlines because it was only made available to customers in China but a new render has been leaked today which suggests that this handset might soon be launched by the second largest mobile carrier in the United States.

The Galaxy J3 (2016) is a mid-range device so expect it to be priced as such. It has a 5 inch Super AMOLED Display with a 1.2GHz quadcore processor under the hood coupled with 1.5GB RAM, 8 megapixel rear and 2 megapixel front camera with a 2,600mAh battery. It’s powered by Android 5.1.1 Lollipop.

The leaked render comes from @evleaks who has a strong track record of leaking new devices that are just around the corner, so it’s quite likely that AT&T will officially announce this handset soon. AT&T hasn’t officially confirmed as yet when it’s going to start selling this handset but from the looks of it, the announcement might not be that far off.

Samsung Galaxy J3 (2016) is currently available for purchase in the United States. Boost and Virgin Mobile launched it back in January this year and they’re both charging $179. Expect AT&T to launch this device with similar pricing.
