Samsung has selected March 11th as the official release date for the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge but most of its carrier and retail partners don’t appear to be sticking to that date. T-Mobile was the first carrier in the country to start shipping pre-orders with AT&T and Sprint following suit soon after. It’s the same story in countries across Europe, many carriers and retailers are shipping the new flagships ahead of time, and now Best Buy and Verizon are jumping on the bandwagon as well.

Reports indicate that customers who have pre-ordered their Galaxy S7 or Galaxy S7 Edge from Best Buy stand a chance to receive their units today. Verizon customers should expect a knock on their door soon enough as well.

This isn’t the first time that this has happened, though. Even with the Galaxy S6 last year, carriers and retail partners started shipping the device ahead of the release date that Samsung had picked so it’s not that surprising this time around.

All customers who placed a pre-order for one of Samsung’s new flagship smartphones will receive the Gear VR headset for free as a pre-order incentive. Carriers threw in their own incentives, like Verizon offering the Gear S2 smartwatch, or T-Mobile offering a year’s worth of Netflix for free.
